INFINIUM has the need for a full-time Engineering Co-Op that is conscientious, hardworking, and dedicated to join our team with the following:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new products, manufacturing processes, equipment, and tools to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Assist in research and experiments to improve manufacturing processes.
- Analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and developing solutions for manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production and Sales.
- Document technical information.
- Assist in stress analysis on various materials.
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement and safety activities to streamline production processes and enhance product quality.
Qualifications:
- Education: attending college for a degree in engineering is required.
- Experience with CAD software and programming languages a plus.
- SolidWorks experience a plus.
- Experience with CNC machines and 3D printers a plus.
- Finite Element Analysis experience a plus.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and solve problems.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Understanding of basic engineering principles, materials, and some manufacturing processes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and trends.
- Ability to identify and solve problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to identify small details and recognize discrepancies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with close attention to detail.
- Creative and forward thinking.
- Must possess a “can do” attitude and willingness to learn.
