Product Development Specialist

This role will function as a project manager leading 30-40 different projects at a time. You must have project management experience to be considered for this role. Ideally your project management experience will be in either food or supplements manufacturing and development.


The Product Development Specialist role focuses on managing the development process for new dietary supplements and sports nutrition products, from conception to market launch. This includes overseeing ideation, ingredient sourcing, formulation, labeling, and product education, while collaborating with internal departments and external manufacturers. The position requires keeping up with industry trends, creating innovative product concepts, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading product development through all stages, including research, sourcing, and formulation.
  • Ensuring ingredients meet specifications and staying informed on industry trends.
  • Presenting product concepts to executives and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Collaborating with manufacturers and ensuring products meet technical requirements.
  • Managing cross-departmental coordination for product launches.
  • Conducting market analysis for pricing strategies.

  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and adapt to changes.
  • Open to collaboration and maintaining a positive, professional approach.
  • An associate’s degree in Product Development, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required, with a Bachelor’s degree being a plus.
