Leading firm in the printing and marketing sector is experiencing growth and is looking to onboard a skilled Graphic Production Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preflight and generate intricate electronic files for proofing, offset, and digital printing processes.
  • Prepare and layout artwork for various internal and external business requirements within a Mac environment.
  • Assess artwork and collaborate with production teams to identify suitable proofing and printing methods for the final product.
  • Compose and finalize artwork.
  • Process files generated from static and variable data using digital printing technology and large format inkjet printers.
  • Conduct device-link color calibration to ensure adherence to color quality standards.
  • Review all proofs and final product samples produced on digital equipment prior to distribution to clients.
  • Perform routine and specialized maintenance on equipment to optimize machine performance based on specifications and operational knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a production prepress environment using Mac systems.
  • Proficient in software applications including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Quark, Excel, and Word.
  • Technical knowledge of lithography, along with an understanding of finishing and mailing processes.
  • Familiarity with color theory, imposition, and CTP workflows; experience with Kodak systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret digital files effectively.
  • Experience in proof generation, whether electronic or analog, with the capability to send proofs in various formats.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
