Job Description


The successful candidate will work at the dry etch diffusion furnace operations and work closely with a team of Technicians and Engineers. Specific job duties include but not limited to:

  • Clean and process dry etch tool components (stainless steel, quartz and ceramic parts)
  • Cleaning various parts from semiconductor tools and production equipment using different solvents, cleaning agents.
  • Removal of ferric etch material on certain parts via automated parts washer.
  • Will use stationary cleaning equipment as well, along with documenting processes and cataloging inventory.
  • Load parts in carts for clean and dirty parts.
  • Load and unload baskets in ovens
  • Record information in BPOs or Run Cards.
  • Casting visual inspection to verify core removal.
  • Operate/monitor ovens
  • React per SOP to alarm conditions.
  • Record all work performed in computer systems.
  • Keep the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe working condition.
  • Verification of parts to paperwork.
  • Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Performs basic cleaning, packing, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform detailed inspection of completed work product.
  • Summarize and communicate findings accurately to engineering team and management as needed.
  • Individual must adhere to industry and company quality and safety standards
  • Support in customer initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Quickly escalate and solve customer issues and proactively connect with stakeholders. Helping other technicians move equipment and load it onto racks
  • Checking parts after they come from production and packaging, taking off recipe information, printing off Run cards to go back to the parts cleaning supplier, managing the inventory if the part needs to go back to another area.


Specialized duties may include chemical cleaning of parts with acidic and basic chemistries, and various inspection activities to ensure effective performance of cleaning processes.

  • Safe use and disposition of hazardous chemicals for cleaning.
  • General assistance to the Technicians performing equipment installations
  • Equipment and Parts setup/staging to perform installations
  • May include moving general equipment, cleaning up after installation work
  • Looking up parts history and finding the recipe it needs to follow while on production.
  • This position may include initial wiping of parts with various solvents (such as IPA), preparing sample kits, basic machine operation, basic scrubbing and detailing of parts with abrasive pads, cleanroom packaging, boxing of parts for shipment, and general area maintenance and housekeeping duties.


Qualifications

Job priorities and focus change frequently throughout the day and the Parts Cleaning Operator must satisfy the needs of Engineers and Managers within the department.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma must be able to read and understand all the documents related to the operation.
  • Should be able to follow steps and procedures according to Specs, Manuals, Visual Aids or Instructions.
  • Microsoft Office skills are needed for revision and occasionally creation of documents.
  • Candidate must be flexible and capable of handling multi-task operations and attention to detail in must.
  • Must be a safety conscious person.
  • Must have to the ability to work with small quantities of chemicals.
  • Able to be a quick learner.
  • Able to work alone with little direction.
  • Previous fab experience desired but not required
  • Requires aptitude, and a good understanding of cleanroom packing.
  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.


Physical Requirements:

  • Job duties will be performed inside a clean room environment. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds is required. Will require the use of Personal Protection equipment such as Safety Shoes (composite toe protection is mandatory for this position) and proper industry safety procedures
  • This role will see all shapes and sizes of parts, ranging from 5lbs to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet all day. Ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability and willingness to wear daily a clean room ‘bunny’ suit
  • Ability and willingness to wear occasionally acid gear including gloves, aprons, face shield, goggles etc.
  • Good hand-eye coordination
