Revenue Management Coordinator

BASIC PURPOSE:
Responsible for specified vessels inventory and all associated actionable items including but not limited to; overselling, waitlist management, capacity control, guarantee berthing, managing group blocks, and associated linked Grand Voyages. Maintain the specified vessels normal operations from an Occupancy and Yield perspective while following Revenue Management Directives.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage inventory of ships which includes the assignment of bookings to staterooms, clearing of waitlists to newly opened space, maneuvering inventory as needed.
- Open and close categories and set guarantee limits- NVS Reservations System will be utilized for this function.
- Off-sell, up-sell, and down-sell sailings- Based on voyage needs and accomplished through NVS Systems.
- Move over bookings to alternate dates- Similarly based on need and using NVS Systems.
- Identify and analyze opportunities to enhance and improve revenue management functions and profitability.
- Input and maintain essential data for each cruise and capacity control.
- Assist in forecasting revenue generation possibilities on future sailings as well as provide insight into apparent trends.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field of study preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years minimum experience in Revenue Management or similar function; cruise or travel industry preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Excel with ability to organize and interpret data. Ability to structure logically quantitative analysis of complex issues.
- Ability to work under fast paced, multi tasked & deadline driven environment.
- Ability to operate in a team driven environment and possess the ability to accept immediate project responsibility.
- Demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.
