If this describes you, please read on Among the current openings, we’re on the lookout for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for continue the company’s growth and execute broader strategic objectives while supporting market-specific business development objectives. The BDM will perform sales, management, and administrative tasks, such as inbound and outbound lead generation, collaborate with Sales and Operations Team, etc. Reporting to the company’s VP of Business Development, this is a newly created, full-time, remote-eligible position. Domestic and international travel will be required.


REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES


Outbound Sales Lead Pipeline:

  • Identify and define clear customer profiles per market segment.
  • Build and expand a potential new-customer list.
  • Research and pinpoint potential clients and markets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute outbound campaigns.
  • Engage prospective customers via email, phone calls, or social media


Inbound Sales Lead Pipeline:

  • Coordinate with Marketing to deploy content strategies tailored to customer needs and interests.
  • Qualify and prioritize inbound leads based on criteria and size.
  • Support and provide actionable feedback to Marketing regarding channel performance.
  • Analyze and manage demand channels and existing customer relationships.
  • Partner with Account Executives to close sales leads and optimize the CRM platform.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS


  • Education and Experience: BS degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in business development; UAS industry experience is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Sales and Business Acumen: Strong sales ability, business acumen, commercial awareness, and a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service skills, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Strategic and Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, strategic planning, organizational skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of drone industry customer and market dynamics, sales principles, customer service practices, basic math skills, and applicable industry knowledge.
  • Resourceful Problem-Solver: You thrive in dynamic settings, leveraging your technical expertise and creative thinking to overcome challenges, continuously seeking out new knowledge and skills to enhance performance and deliver impactful results.
  • Proactive Innovator: you know how to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and drive projects forward with minimal supervision, demonstrating a keen ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment.
