Applied Service Sales Team Leader


The successful Applied Service Sales Team Leader is responsible for achieving revenue and margin goals and driving profitable growth by successfully acquiring maintenance agreements, quoted service projects and quoted repairs. In addition, this individual will secure building automation projects, turnkey projects and comprehensive solutions for existing buildings with a focus on Applied Equipment. This will be accomplished both individually as well as by building a team with an Applied Equipment execution focus. As a leaderwithin the Owner Direct team, an Applied Service Sales Team Leader supports the HAVTECH mission todeliver exceptional customer service throughout the sale and execution of projects involving HVAC equipment,building automation, and mechanical contracting services. This individual will be tasked with identifying and coordinating Havtech provided solutions that can achieve or resolve a client’s environmental, operational, financial and people goals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.

  • Prospects to locate and develop relationships with new clients.
  • Maintains and cultivates existing client relationships
  • Develops general working knowledge of all Havtech offerings.
  • Utilizes account management processes for target customers.
  • Develops and implements specific action plans that improve project closure rate and produce profitable business within the Applied equipment arena.
  • Develops necessary estimates and proposal as required.
  • Reviews and assigns Applied equipment leads into opportunities.
  • Develops opportunities through networking and professional organizations.
  • Leverages Vertical Market Leaders to deliver Havtech capabilities message regarding Applied equipment into their assigned verticals
  • Leads or supports, depending on the opportunity, coordinated sales efforts involving multiple Havtech sales groups.Works effectively in a team selling environment.
  • Identifies market trends specific to Applied Equipment
  • Facilitates customer relationships at various levels of customer’s organization.
  • Collects and communicates to operations the pertinent project information required to successfully complete projects while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates and attends site reviews as required.
  • Commits to operating within and promote all Havtech Safety protocols.
  • Confirms project scope and bill of material with customers.
  • Assists with the collection of Accounts Receivable as needed.
  • Determines recommended selling strategy and pricing related to all team members selling into Applied Equipment opportunities
  • Presents the proposal, negotiates price and contract terms/conditions with customers.
  • Stays current with local utility incentive programs and leverages associated rebates to improve project closure rate or project margins.
  • Develops additional incentives to reward work within Applied Equipment sector
  • Follows up with buying influences to secure orders.
  • Coordinates or engages in the project execution process as required.
  • Resolves deviations in scope with the client to preserve client experience and satisfaction.
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.
  • Develops positive relationships with Havtech Leadership and employees.
  • Sets measurable metrics to show Applied Equipment service market share growth year over year
  • Establishs and leads Rental Equipment offering within Applied Equipment market


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position will gain supervisory responsibilities within the first year of employment.
  • The selected individual will be tasked with identifying, recruiting, and developing Account Managers at various intervals of revenue achievement by the business. They will also deliver on sales management responsibilities for their Account Managers strategic development.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Five years of experience in HVAC Sales or related technical field.
  • Prior experience in sales roll with OEM HVAC Company within the Baltimore/DC area
  • Well-developed sales skills.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer relations and presentation skills.
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook),
  • Ability to travel within a defined region at least 50% of the time, overnight travel is not typical.
  • Ability to function independently and deliver results.
