Japanese Bilingual HR Assistant

A Japanese IT company is seeking a dedicated and organized Japanese Bilingual HR Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to the HR department, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to a positive employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:


Payroll Administration:


o Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

o Ensure accurate calculation and deduction of taxes, benefits, and other deductions.

o Manage employee time and attendance records, including time sheet checks and approvals.

o Process new hires, terminations, and salary changes.

o Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll.


Benefits Administration:


o Assist with open enrollment and annual benefits renewal processes.

o Process employee benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes.

o Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve claims and issues.

o Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.


Record Keeping:


o Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and performance reviews.

o File and organize employee documents.



General HR/Administrative Tasks:


o Assist with HR functions (onboarding, offboarding, record-keeping, recruitment), administrative tasks (office supplies, mail, scheduling, events), and basic accounting.

o Order and maintain company cell phones for employees.

o Order business cards for new hires and existing employees.

o Provide support to employees with inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 2-3 years of experience in HR or administrative roles.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).

• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

• Experience with payroll administration and benefits.

• Basic accounting knowledge.
