Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager. This role involves managing large and complex technical projects, particularly focusing on the deployment of IT infrastructure for new buildings and renovations. You will work on projects related to network systems, telephony, A/V, cabling, and cellular networks, ensuring successful delivery by following project management best practices.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Lead the full project management lifecycle, including planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects. Manage resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various university teams and external partners to achieve project goals. Lead discussions, drive consensus, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions during project implementation.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of client’s processes, methodologies, and tools.


Top 3 Requirements:


  • Experience: Proven ability to manage large-scale IT infrastructure projects in a dynamic environment, particularly in new construction and renovation contexts.
  • Leadership: Strong project leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, manage budgets, escalate issues when necessary, and provide detailed documentation and updates.
  • Project Management Best Practices: Commitment to adopting UIT project management practices and providing regular updates to executive sponsors.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing complex IT infrastructure projects.


Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Ability to balance stakeholder needs with project realities.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.


Certifications: PMP or equivalent project management certification required. ScrumMaster (CSM) and ITIL certification are desired.


Physical and Work Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site as needed, including attending meetings across Stanford campuses.
  • Ability to lift/carry objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally climb ladders.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety.
