Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager

We are looking for a candidate with strong people and management skills:
1. Ability to manage large and complex IT infrastructure projects (such as wired and wireless network, telephony, A/V, cabling infrastructure, and cellular network) preferably for new construction buildings and/or building renovations in a fluid environment with multiple stakeholders.
2. Ability to look at the big picture, proactively lead and guide the project team, improve processes, manage project budget, know when to escalate issues and/or to remediate risks, and consistently provide useful project meeting notes/documentations to propel the project forward.
3. Embrace UIT best project management practices, and ability to provide updates to executive sponsors.
● Demonstrated project management ability to employ integration, scope time management, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement components.
● Proven experience with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid project management methodologies strongly desired.
● Knowledge of project management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) strongly desired.
● Solid experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio), Smartsheet, ServiceNow Project Portfolio Manager (PPM), Zoom, and Slack are strongly desired.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
● Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience in management of projects with extensive size/complexity and moderate performance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Certifications and Licenses
● Project Management Professional (PMP) certified completion of a Project Management Certificate program, or certification in process
● Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) completion or certification in process is desired.
● ITIL Certification desired
Physical Requirements*
● Frequently sit, perform desk based computer tasks, and grasp lightly/fine manipulation and lift/carry /push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
● Occasionally stand/walk, write by hand.
● Rarely use a telephone, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulder, grasp forcefully.
Working Conditions
● May be exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures, be exposed to high voltage electricity, radiation or electromagnetic fields, lasers, noise > 80dB TWA, allergens/ biohazards/ chemicals/ asbestos, or heavy metals or work on roofs at heights greater than 10 ft.
● Travel locally and cross-university
● May require to attend meetings on campuses
