What you will be doing


Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations and production, with a focus on driving efficiency, productivity, and quality. They will provide leadership, coaching and training to create an environment that engages the total workforce.

  • Ensure warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees.
  • Collaborate with customer service team to ensure customer requirements are executed and achieved.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Responsible for managing costs related to labor, continuous improvement implementations and other warehouse processes related to scope of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates operational experience to understand and provide robust process solutions.
  • Assist in hiring and training of new staff in accordance with operational requirements and budgetary thresholds.
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, floor productivity.
  • Ensure that all daily orders are processed and shipped out in accordance to contracted service levels and customer expectations.
  • In conjunction with the Branch Manager, implement working practices in line with best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Identify errors and eliminate root cause using countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
  • Drive performance with employees by providing a positive and equitable work environment emphasizing respect, responsiveness, and achieving desired results.
  • Demonstrate our culture and Rhenus values in the daily operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What skills & experience you will bring to us


  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of operational experience in 3PL with proven track record in operational excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability to use them in a diverse multicultural environment.
  • Proven experience in continual improvement processes.
  • Industry experience in Contract Logistics, W&D & or 3PL.
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude and proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Ability to multitask and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with firm deliverable dates.
  • Ability for off hours support when needed.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or similar WMS software.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Team player with ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Adheres to process, policies, and standards.
  • Ability to work additional hours as required based on operational need.
