WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:

  • Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Ensure a healthy, respectful, and safe working environment.
  • Remain compliant with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with other staff members.
  • Assist Executive team with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Oversee selection and career management of manufacturing employees, striving to retain high quality individuals and provide training opportunities to improve skills. Requires consistent collaboration with human resources department.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Monitor, evaluate and be responsible for the overall physical plant, responding and reporting to the CEO and executive staff should any critical issues arise.
  • Address customer complaints brought to the attention of the Customer Service team and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Work with sales, purchasing and customer service teams on new orders to ensure the plant’s capabilities and the correct raw materials are available and used.
  • Work with CFO to develop operating budget and ensure profitability of manufactured parts and assembled products.
  • Communicate vision and strategic plans fostering growth.


WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Ability to make timely decisions regarding complex matters.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgement while providing reasons for decisions.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Relationship talent.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Lean manufacturing certification and/or experience a plus.
  • Be an innovator who demonstrates original thinking and creativity.
  • Excellent attention to detail.


WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • BS in Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 5-10 years relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years leading a manufacturing facility.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or MBA a plus


DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Occasional bending and reaching.
  • Must maintain frequent presence on production floor. May require prolonged periods of standing.
  • Production floor may be warm in summer and cool in winter.
  • Significant time spent working at a computer terminal.
  • Occasionally jump onto a production line and get your hands dirty.
  • Need to be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation.
