Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Manager to join our team. As the Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with agents, driving business growth, and ensuring excellent customer service within your assigned territory. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong blend of relationship-building skills, industry knowledge, and sales acumen. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance agents within the assigned territory 

Understand the needs of agents and their customers, providing tailored solutions and support 

Drive new business acquisition and retention efforts through proactive sales strategies 

Identify and appoint new agents in the territory 

Collaborate with company management, actuaries, underwriting team, and claims teams to ensure efficient operations  

Utilize CRM tools, including Zoho, to manage agent interactions, track sales activities, and generate insightful reports 

Analyze data using Excel and Power BI to identify trends, performance indicators, and opportunities for improvement 

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' activities to contribute to strategic decision-making 

Conduct training sessions and workshops for agents to enhance their product knowledge and sales techniques 

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build brand awareness and foster relationships 

Overnight travel within the assigned territory and conferences

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

Experience as a Territory Manager or similar role in the insurance industry, preferably in personal lines insurance sales 

Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with insurance agents 

In-depth knowledge of the Texas insurance market and understanding of local regulations 

Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to achieve business targets 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with agents and internal teams 

Proficiency in CRM tools, specifically Zoho, to manage customer interactions and track sales activities 

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Power BI for data analysis and reporting 

Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and recommend strategic actions 

Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
