The Role:   


The Manager, Field Sales & Education  will be responsible for implementing, managing and driving the overall field sales team performance, building strong relationships with both internal and key retail partners, and leading the success and ongoing evolution of in store programs for Polite Society. The ideal candidate has a proven, successful track record in field sales, excellent leadership and team building skills, strategic thinking / implementation, relationship building and a deep passion for the always evolving beauty industry landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement field sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Monitor and analyze team sales performance by region / by door to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your territory, managing day-to-day communications and in store support while also building strong, collaborative relationships nationwide across field sales team
  • Collaborate with store ops teams in personal territory + across team to ensure accurate and optimal inventory levels in stores, elevating OOS / inventory issues to HQ team

 

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage (scheduling, budget, T&E etc)  a team of field sales representatives to ensure high performance and achievement of sales objectives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to motivate the team and foster professional development.
  • Consistently working to identify areas of strength to push further while also managing through areas of opportunity and providing clear recommendations on how to manage

 

Relationship Management:

  •  Act as brand ambassador for Polite Society, representing our values, mission and core DNA in all store and guest/client interactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, and key accounts to drive brand love, visibility and sales.
  • Conduct regular store visits to drive sales and EDU initiatives while also assessing product placement, brand presence, and ensure adherence to merchandising standards.

 

Market Analysis:

  • Be the eyes and ears about market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to provide strategic input back to key HQ teams ie sales, marketing, PD etc
  • Conduct regular reporting on sales performance, customer feedback, and market conditions to senior management.
  • Work with internal sales teams and any additional key partners ie marketing, finance, PD to align on business goals and ensure seamless execution and communication

 

The Candidate: 


  • Proven experience in field sales, preferably in the cosmetics or beauty industry.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in open sell prestige beauty category.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building, managing and retaining a field sales team.
  • Has a love for artistry and sales with high comfort level of applying makeup to guests / clients
  • Strong training and education skills
  • Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data drive decisions
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel as needed / requested by senior management team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
