New Business Development

The Business Development Manager will be a motivated, self-starter and independent person joining our ForBuild Construction team to help us expand existing client relationships and develop new relationships with architects, owners, general contractors/construction managers and other industry partners. The business development manager will help build a stable pipeline of project opportunities for consideration by the company. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, has a strong business development background, maintains thorough knowledge of the local DMV (DC, Maryland and Virginia) real estate and construction industry, and is capable of pursuing and maintaining long-term client relationships.

- Identifyanddeveloprelationshipswithindustryprofessionalstogeneratenewbusiness opportunities.
- UtilizeandmaintainCRMdatabase,industrycontactsandrelationshipstogenerateprojectleads andallbusinessdevelopmentactivities
- Trackbidvolume,leadconversionrateandcosttoacquirenewbusinessusingCRMsoftware
- Manageexistingaccountstoensureclientsatisfactionandon-goingbusinessrelationships
- Createandpresenteffectivepresentationstoclients
- PromotesForBuild’svaluetoclientsbyprovidingcomprehensiveDIRTTsolutionstosupporttheirbusinessandoperationalobjectives
- Demonstratestechnicalknowledgeandasolutionthatmatchesthecustomer’sprojectchallenge toprovidevaluetothecustomer
- Provideoutstandingserviceandvaluethroughcollaborativeproblem-solvingandtimelyresponsetoclientrequests.Researchservicesthatappropriatelyaddress client’sneeds,budgetandtimelines
- Researchandanalyzekeyeconomicfactorsthatmayinfluencemarketactivitywithinspecific nichemarketsorgeographicareas
- Provideongoingprogressupdatesonnewbusinessdevelopmentactivitiesandotherkeyindicatorstothemanagementtea.
- WorkwithandtransferbusinessleadstotheForBuildsales,designandprojectmanagement teams
- WorkwithMarketingteamtogeneratecollateralsuchascustomerdecksandcontentfor ForBuild’smarketpresence
- Developandmaintainpartnershipswithsubcontractors,generalcontractors,brokers,PM's,& developerstoincreasemarketexposureofForBuild
- Maintain memberships in professional organizations and attend other association meetings to stay informed of the market conditions, current discussions and to establish relationships
- Bachelor’sdegreeinConstructionManagement,Architecture,Engineering,Marketing,Business,or otherrelatedfieldispreferredbutnotnecessary.
- Minimumfiveyearsbusinessdevelopmentexperienceinconstruction,engineering, real-estatedevelopment,orsimilarrelated-industryinthe DMVmarket
- Proven track record of success in developing, maintaining and expanding client base
- Excellentinitiativeandinterpersonalcommunicationsskills
- Strongteamworkorientation,initiative,communication,problem-solving,andleadershipskills
- Knowledgeofinteriorcommercialconstruction
- Experiencewithmodularproducts(walls,floors,power/data,etc.)aplus
- Abilitytoread/interpretconstructiondocs,bidsandspecifications
- Interpersonalandorganizationalskillswithabilitytofosterandleveragerelationships;comfortableinterfacingwithclients,architects,generalcontractors,vendorsandinternalstaff
- Mustbeextremelyorganized,withgoodtimemanagementskillsandtheabilitytowork independently
- Highattentiontodetailandaccuracy
- ExceptionalCustomerServiceskillswithapassiontoprovidesolutionstoclientneeds
- Excellentcommunicationskillsviaemail,face-to-face,andoverthephone
- Mustberesultsorientedwithfocusonaccomplishmentsandlongandshort-termgoals
