We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Houston Office. Exolum is focused on growth and is looking for a driven individual capable of expanding the Group´s business interests in the US and the Americas market. The ideal candidate should be excited about the opportunity to identify, pursue and capture new business opportunities in the competitive and promising energy/fuels and petrochemical markets. The candidate should have proven and business development experience in the fuels/chemicals energy transition. The incumbent will report to the Head of Business Development Americas, and be part of the team responsible for identifying growth opportunities in support of the company´s growth strategy.


MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Identifying & researching business opportunities aligned w/Exolum´s growth strategy.

-Developing feasible and robust business opportunities including/incorporating multiple aspects such as commercial, technical, financing, legal, insurance, risks, etc.

-Financial modelling to assess the feasibility of potential businesses under development.

-Identifying potential M&A targets in the logistics industry in line with Exolum´s strategy.

-Engaging with stakeholders like terminalling and chemical companies to identify logistics needs and design potential carve outs of logistic assets and/or co-investments opportunities.

-Executing M&A transactions in coordination with the Exolum´s Global M&A team.

-Monitoring peers and competitors’ activities in the target industries/businesses.

-Analysing market, trends, regulations and peers/competitors activity.

-Preparing/coordinating FID proposals for inorganic and organic business opportunities.

-Preparing materials to present Business opportunities & analysis to Exolum´s Sr. Leadership.

-Producing and maintaining various industry databases (market info, projects…) and CRM.

-Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business.

-Preparing and delivering presentations to prospects, partners and services providers.

-Creating and maintaining positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients and with other relevant stakeholders.


REQUIREMENTS

Education:

-Master Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent business development experience

Experience:

-5 to 10 years total experience.

-Min 3 to 5 years in Business Development in energy companies, investment banking or consulting.

-Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Energy Transition related businesses

-Familiarity with hydrogen and low-carbon alternative fuels

-Financial modelling supporting business development decisions
