Overview
Quorum Software is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead a team of Sales and Business Development Representatives (SDRs / BDRs) while also driving individual business development and sales efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker who can mentor, motivate, and guide a team of SDRs and BDRs to achieve and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the energy industry, and a proven track record in business development and sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Sales and Business Development Representatives (SDRs / BDRs) to identify and create qualified sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize outbound prospecting efforts and inbound lead nurturing.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to new team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement effective outbound campaigns and lead generation strategies.
- Analyze market data and trends to identify new opportunities and areas for growth within the energy industry.
- Work closely with Sales to define key accounts/personas, generate interest, and drive opportunities.
- Ensure the team consistently achieves qualified sales opportunity quotas to meet territory revenue objectives.
- Manage and maintain CRM systems with accurate contact, account, and activity information.
- Represent Quorum Software at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.
- Lead by example by actively engaging in business development and sales activities.
- And other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in outbound business development, software sales, or energy industry consulting.
- Proven leadership experience in inside sales and/or business development, preferably in managing a team of sales professionals.
- Understanding of energy industry workflows, business concepts, and market dynamics.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems; familiarity with Drift, Outreach or ZoomInfo is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Fearless attitude towards prospecting and engaging with potential clients.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and innovations.
- Willing and able to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week
