Facilities Manager – PAX Baypine and Warehouse Locations


Job Summary: This position will report to the Director of Operations and the main duties are to oversee and manage all PAX office buildings/campus and ensure that day-to-day operations are being complete to satisfaction and well maintained. The facilities manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include performing routine safety inspections, tracking project budgets, corresponding with vendors, planning maintenance work, maintaining inspection records, and supervising all facility staff and third-party vendors. The candidate should be well-versed in the facilities management processes and possesses multi-tasking and organizational abilities.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Main point of contact for questions related to facilities project status, building equipment, and vendor issues.
  • Lead and monitor the third-party service providers to ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance is performed in cost effective and efficient manner, and ensure the completion of work requests/orders for all facility maintenance issues.
  • Maintain documentation for all facility related topics (vendor quotes and contact information, inspection reports, maintenance due dates, federal and state facility requirements, etc).
  • Maintain the Facilities JIRA board and analyze, diagnose and evaluate reported issues.
  • Manage mechanical operations (HVAX, generators, etc.), cabling installations, space planning, 24-hour security control and security systems/operation of the building and responds to emergency situations.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections of interior and exterior areas of building and manage housekeeping, repairs and modifications.
  • Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills: clear and accurate written and verbal communication is a must.
  • Proficiency in facilities management, including plumbing, HVAC systems, industrial maintenance, and low voltage systems.
  • Time management skills: Excellent self-management and time management is essential. The position requires managing multiple competing priorities in a timely manner, to stay on schedule.


Certifications, Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Certified Facility Manager credentials and OSHA Certifications are required.


Physical Demands that may be required:

  • Ability to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperatures.
  • Positions requires the ability to stand, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders and walk or stand continuously for long periods of time.
  • May be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous materials.
  • Crouch, kneel, stand, or bend for long periods of time.
  • Exposed to inclement weather when performing tasks outside.
  • Subjected to loud machine, tool, and motor noise.


Schedule and Travel:

  • Shift Hours are Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Must be able to work on weekends if needed.
  • Expected to be on-call for emergencies.
  • This role requires travel between PAX office locations and to vendors.
