Key Responsibilities
- The Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) will be responsible for supervising all maintenance and repair activities within the healthcare facility complex.
- The CHFM is expected to be present during standard operational hours and must be reachable on-site within one hour after these hours.
- Ensures accurate data collection on maintenance requests and preventive maintenance inspections for entry into the Maximo database.
- Oversees facility systems, including medical gas, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, hazardous waste management, and overall security protocols.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of building designs and the medical and non-medical equipment utilized within the facilities.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment, ensuring compliance with Infection Control standards.
- Guarantees prompt and efficient responses to service requests and establishes preventive maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Ensures that facilities adhere to government regulations and meet environmental, health, and security standards.
- Continuously collaborates with healthcare professionals and departmental managers to assess facility needs.
Qualifications
- Must hold a certification as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) as recognized by the American Hospital Association, with a minimum of one year remaining on the certification.
- Must possess and maintain a NAC-I security clearance for access to classified information or restricted areas.
- A valid Driver's License with at least six months of remaining validity is required.
- A valid Passport with a minimum of 15 months of remaining validity and at least six blank visa/stamp pages is necessary.
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Attention to detail is crucial.
Work Environment
- The role primarily involves an office environment within a healthcare setting.
- A standard work week consists of 48 hours (five days), with the expectation of additional hours as mission requirements dictate.
Education and Experience
- Certification as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) as defined by the American Hospital Association, with at least one year remaining on the certification.
- A minimum of five years of experience in managing and providing services in healthcare facilities of comparable size, scope, and complexity.
- A valid Passport with at least 15 months of remaining validity and six blank visa/stamp pages is required.
- A valid Driver's License with at least six months of remaining validity is necessary.
- Fluency in English is required.
