Refrigeration Retrofit Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE
The Retrofit Project Manager is responsible for managing a team of technicians to support EPA mandated refrigerant retrofits, providing service excellence to our partner in this area of the business. This includes coaching, counselling, and providing on-the-job training for team members in order to successfully meet the goals and service levels established for the team. This is a working supervisory role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Effectively communicate to field associates and site managers all ongoing project activities
  • Ensure field associates follow proactive model for maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure field associates provide status updates on current job assignments
  • Ensure field associates perform tasks on schedule
  • Assist in troubleshooting by providing higher level assistance to field associates
  • Prepare Scope of work, parts orders, and schedules for projects.
  • Coordinate all vendors and suppliers to facilitate a successful Retrofit
  • Keep accurate records and submit them into system as changes are made
  • Mange recovery cylinders after retrofit and assign to Refrigerant Bank.
  • Communicate & coordinate with store management
  • Travel 85%, schedule may consist of 4 ten-hour overnight shifts. Subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess valid Driver License with good driving record
  • Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC or equivalent work experience
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • EPA Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Above average trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert and effective problem solver
  • Basic computer skills, Refrigeration Controller Technology, Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
