About the Role

The Refrigeration Retrofit Project Manager is a key leadership position within City Facilities Management Ltd, responsible for overseeing the successful execution of refrigerant retrofit projects. This role requires a strong technical background in refrigeration and HVAC, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Ensure seamless project execution, from planning to completion, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet project goals and service levels.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical HVAC, and plumbing systems to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to facilitate successful retrofits, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including scope of work, parts orders, and schedules.
  • Travel and Schedule: Travel extensively (85%) to project sites, with a schedule consisting of 4 ten-hour overnight shifts, subject to change.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Qualifications: Journeyman qualified in refrigeration and HVAC or equivalent work experience.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications: EPA Certification.
  • Skills: Above-average trouble-shooting skills, ability to act as a subject matter expert, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, Refrigeration Controller Technology, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
