Our non-profit in San Jose is looking for a Development Director. This is an on-site role for a wonderful organization. A strong candidate must have experience in development operations, data management, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on fundraising analytics and Salesforce administration.
- Salesforce Administration:
- Manage and optimize Salesforce to ensure it supports our fundraising operations effectively.
- Ensure data integrity through regular audits and troubleshooting to maintain accurate donor information and reporting.
- Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other platforms and tools used by the Development team.
- Fundraising Data Analytics:
- Design and execute strategies for analyzing fundraising performance, focusing on campaign effectiveness, donor behavior, and revenue forecasting.
- Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive reports and dashboards, offering actionable insights to senior leadership and fundraising teams.
- Conduct and oversee evaluations of fundraising campaigns and research efforts to gauge the success of development strategies.
- Perform or supervise quantitative research to support decision-making and improve donor engagement.
- Partner with the Development team to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks.
- Gift Processing & Donor Data Management:
- Supervise the management of donor data, ensuring its accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement procedures for data collection, maintenance, and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Oversee the processing of donations, ensuring gifts are recorded accurately and promptly, with proper acknowledgments and stewardship activities.
- Manage and maintain systems for tracking and reconciling financial transactions related to fundraising.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and regulations regarding gift processing and financial reporting.
- Back-End Support:
- Manage all back-end data and processes related to appeals, events, and campaigns.
- Provide operational support for development campaigns, including campaign setup, data management, and execution of outreach efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the Development team to align campaign strategies with operational processes.
- Lead the resolution of campaign-related issues, including troubleshooting and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience with Salesforce, with a preference for Salesforce NPSP or Cloud and related tools. Salesforce Administration Certification is preferred.
