The Career Development Director is a senior management position responsible for overseeing the Career Development Services department at Career Systems Development Corporation. This role requires a strong leader who can direct and manage a team of professionals to provide career development services to students.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Direct and manage a team of Career Development staff, including CPP, Academics, CTT, Career Counseling, WBL, and CTS departments.
- Supervise and evaluate staff performance, provide coaching and development opportunities, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Program Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement career development programs and services that meet the needs of students and align with company goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve desired outcomes.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and external partners to ensure understanding of career development services and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including businesses, community organizations, and government agencies, to provide career development opportunities for students.
- Reporting and Evaluation
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of career development programs and services.
- Develop and submit reports to management and stakeholders to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field.
- 15 semester hours of undergraduate coursework in Education.
- Experience
- Two years of counseling experience, one of which was in a supervisory capacity.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Sound knowledge of counseling and supervisory techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate with culturally disadvantaged and minority youth.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Education
- Master's degree in Education or a closely related field.
- Experience
- Previous work experience in education and training or Job Corps.
- Skills and Knowledge
- State teaching credential.
- Knowledge of special education law.
Yearly Salary
