Senior Construction Estimator

This candidate will act as the project's lead point of responsibility and accountability during the pre-construction phases of a project. They will be working to uphold the clients standard of daily performance, and procedures from inception to turnover to the project operations team. Daily specific responsibilities will depend on the project delivery method or the pre-construction services rendered, but the candidate can be expected to bid on projects, work through negotiations, and assist with litigation estimates.


Required Skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager within commercial construction
  • Previous experience preparing and estimating budgets for materials, labor, and equipment
  • Must have experience doing self-performed take-offs across all scopes (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Strong ability to calculate hours across each individual scope of the project


Plusses:

  • Renovation or reconstruction experience
  • Experienced with building envelope and/or exterior cladding projects


Other Information:

  • Duration: Full-time, direct-hire position
  • Location: North Charleston, SC
  • Onsite Requirement: In office 5 days a week
  • Travel Requirement: Minimal day trips required for pre-construction meetings - the farthest being Savannah, GA or Charlotte, NC
  • Compensation: $100k-150k (range is dependent on tenure)
  • Benefits: Bonuses, full healthcare, PTO/vacation, etc.
