We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to ensure the integrity of our organization’s high quality seed oil products and expand our brand within the cosmetic and personal care markets, and beyond.


The successful candidate will have a background in business development, with knowledge of specialty chemicals application development in cosmetics, personal care, food science, or refined specialty chemicals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong business acumen to identify new opportunities and build lasting relationships with clients all over the world.

This position reports to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities:

Market Strategy and Product Development:

·        Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

·        Develop and implement business development strategies to penetrate new markets and expand market share.

·        Identify and evaluate potential opportunities for product and business growth.

Client Relationship Management:

·        Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

·        Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their technical and business requirements.

·        Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our brand and identify new business opportunities.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

·        Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts.

·        Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.

·        Collaborate with the inside sales partner to develop proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition.

Technical Support and Quality Assurance:

·        Stay informed about relevant regulations and ensure that all refined vegetable oil products comply with safety and quality standards, labeling requirements, and other regulatory guidelines.

·        Work closely with the production team and refinery partners to maintain consistent quality in product manufacturing processes.

·        Provide technical support and training to clients, ensuring optimal use of our products.

·        Gather feedback from clients to guide product development and improvement initiatives.

·        Ensure investigation, documentation, and resolution of any product quality issues, including customer complaints, product recalls, and non-conformities in manufacturing.


Minimum Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred.

·        Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or technical support within the specialty chemicals, food sciences, cosmetics, or personal care industries.

·        Technical knowledge of specialty chemicals, refined vegetable oils and their applications.

·        Experience and proficiency using Salesforce, other CRM tools

·        Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

·        Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·        Willingness to travel as required.
