Role Summary:
Responsibilities include any of the following activities related to the receiving, storing, and/or shipping of materials or finished goods: ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct. Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Key Qualification:
- High School Degree or GED required. 1-5 years of experience in a returns environment, retail, wholesale, or direct to consumer warehouse operations.
- Must have understanding of English language both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate understanding of English during the interview process.
- Possess articulate verbal and written communication skills. Communicates in a timely and appropriate manner to all levels.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned area.
- Good computer skills with an ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to utilize the SCom system and other supporting systems as required.
- Excellent organizational and efficiency skills
- The incumbent is required to possess and sustain physical requirements including but not limited to: standing for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), lifting up to 30 lbs repeatedly, walking long distances repeatedly, bending, stooping, climbing ladders or stairs repeatedly, manual dexterity of hands to process orders, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to distinguish between colors.
- May operate warehouse equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires some coordinated movements.
- Demonstrated understanding of working with computer based systems.
- Manual dexterity of hands to properly prepare items for putaway, transfer or reship to customers.
Role Description:
- Research shortages, overages and damages
- Segregates and controls non-conforming merchandise
- Work with GXO NCI lead on daily basis to analyze the causes of non-conforming inventory and provide solutions
- Research the new incoming volume that GXO cannot receive and process and provide corrective action
- Reach out to merchant team to extend, reopen or create new purchase orders (PO) for GXO to be able to receive the units
- Help with Jira process (is a process where there is discrepancy on the physical unit and what Saks have on the website). Identifies and documents discrepancies and connect with merchant and buying team to correct and adjust the inventory
- Work with vendor compliance analyst to resolve non-conforming data
- Returning orders utilizing the SCom System.
- Process transfers to stores and Sell Off.
- Attention to detail and productivity are key, as well as positive attitude and flexibility.
- Read and follow written instructions and follow all return guidelines.
- Effectively communicate in verbal and written formats.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
