POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist is an integral part of the IT Security division within the Technology department, reporting directly to the IT Security Leader.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


This position is responsible for ensuring that compliance initiatives and security policy objectives are met, while supporting the organization's security policies, processes, tools, and standards.

Collaboration with the Information Security Group, Internal Audit, Technology, and other departments is essential, as well as engagement with designated external partners.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in technology, security metrics, and must demonstrate strong analytical, collaborative, and organizational skills. The ability to work effectively with various teams is crucial.


KEY FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups, including IT Infrastructure, Risk Management, and IT Security.
  • Manage multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Measure and report on the configuration management program, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented.
  • Stay informed on evolving regulatory concerns and emerging trends in IT and information security.
  • Draft and implement policies and procedures.
  • Conduct operational reviews of IT activities to ensure compliance.
  • Track project status and deliverables, identify issues and risks, and assist in the completion of documentation and training materials.
  • Effectively present complex technical topics to diverse internal and external audiences, fostering understanding and confidence.
  • Develop and operationalize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as the primary contact and coordinator for IT audit activities, findings, management responses, and corrective action plans.
  • Facilitate the regular updating of IT policies and procedures related to certification standards.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to internal compliance requirements and participate in compliance reviews, reporting on internal and regulatory requirements as well as security best practices.


Cybersecurity:

Execute cybersecurity operational tasks and contribute to initiatives that safeguard the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of data and IT assets.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Comprehensive knowledge of compliance, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure operations is essential. Experience in quality management or regulatory compliance roles is highly desirable.

This role requires a thorough understanding of Liberty Bank's IT policies, controls, and standards, driving a risk-based approach to risk assessment and management.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Proficiency with general office equipment, keyboard dexterity, and the ability to sit for extended periods.
