Duties:

  • Manages a bowling or familyentertainment bowling facility. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Organizes, develops, implements and reviews programming, promotions, and special events to provide a garrison recreational service while maintaining a positive image in local community relations.
  • Develops and manages leagues/tournaments and league/tournament services. Coordinates functions and special events with community, and military representatives.
  • Oversees the operations of a variety of ancillary departments, and recreational activities i.e. pro shop, snack bar, billiards, catering services, bingo, recreation machines, internet services, video gaming, and other familyoriented revenue sources.
  • Systematically provides and reviews financial management, personnel administration, property and internal control management to ensure compliance with policies, benchmarks, and standards.

Requirements:

Conditions of Employment:

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all preemployment checks in accordance with AR 2153, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required.
  • Shift will vary based on mission but could include mornings, nights, weekends and occasional holiday.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of three years experience in bowling center management.
  • A twoyear associates' degree in business related field may substitute for one year of experience.
  • A fouryear bachelor's degree in business related field may substitute for two years.

  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs ARE AUTHORIZED, based on a determination that a PCS move IS in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials

  • This is a paybanded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
    _If authorized, only regular (fulltime, parttime, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay._ When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of nonovertime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
