Inside Sales Manager

Job Summary
The Inside Sales Manager performs a wide range of administrative and customer service related tasks and procedures on a daily basis. This position is responsible for numerous scheduling, inventory and customer service related duties that include but are not limited to: working with plant managers to create production schedules, tracking sales and existing inventory, building relationships with new and established customers, providing quotes and taking orders as well as assisting outside sales personnel as necessary. This position will work closely with the General Manager and the Sales Team to ensure a consistent and organized flow of materials through the plant on a daily basis.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree minimum, Bachelor's degree in business preferred
- 2 + years previous experience in sales, preferably manufacturing setting
Summary of essential job functions
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Selling organization's products and/or services
- Interacting with customers on a daily basis
- Maintaining current customer relationships as well as developing new ones
- Learning a broad range of knowledge related to the galvanizing process as well as metal fabrication practices
- Assisting the General Manager with the creation of the production schedule
- Providing quotes to customers
- Receiving and editing orders received from customers and outside sales representatives
- Updating customers on order status and completion
- Providing the corporate staff with all necessary information pertaining to customer account setup and maintenance
- Tracking sales and all materials that are on site, both company stock and customer materials
- Assisting with month end inventory as needed
- Communicating with the General Manager, Supervisor(s), other Sales personnel and the corporate staff as necessary
- Answering and resolving questions and problems as they arise
Minimum Requirements
- Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Must possess superior problem solving, analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to learn and use company specific ERP software, as well as various other company / manufacturing computer systems
- Ability to occasionally move / lift smaller items weighing up to 25 lbs.
