JOB SUMMARY:

The Experiential Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategy, budgeting, planning, marketing and executing of sponsored events, partnerships, and public relations efforts. These initiatives will benefit the below business lines including:

1) The Cliffs corporate brand initiatives for general awareness, member satisfaction, and lead acquisition

2) Cliffs Land Partners Real Estate PR+ Events - promotion of developer and brokerage business real estate to media including sales release events both onsite and offsite, national events, regional events and local marketing events in surrounding areas, partnership activations, public relation opportunities and community relations goals as well as social media and content creation.

3) The Cliffs Clubs Membership - including member benefits and experience - strategic marketing, communications and partnership projects that support the goal of being nationally recognized as a luxury lifestyle provider through our pillars of hospitality, health, fitness, golf, culinary, recreation, which bring recognition to the Club and benefits to membership.

The position will report to the Director of Marketing (DOM) and will also involve working closely with The Cliffs President, VP of Marketing and Director of Sales, the Club's General Managers, and marketing team, as well as the many Club Directors, the sales team, Member Services directors and club staff.

JOB DUTIES:

• Manage strategic events, partnerships and public relation initiatives as assigned or approved by the VP of Marketing and DOM. Provide strategy, project planning, budgets, agendas, itineraries, action items, assignments, timelines, critical paths, execution, billing/reconciliation and other deliverables as appropriate.

• Plan and organize off-site and on-site sponsored events. Oversee execution of events including travel arrangements, accommodations, meeting rooms, transportation, maps to locations, contact details for clients, hotels, meeting rooms, collateral, etc. Ensure overall experience with The Cliffs is positive and pushes attendees towards real estate and club membership.

• Serve as a liaison on behalf of marketing at club events to ensure each event offers the opportunity to learn more about real estate and membership opportunities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, President, Vice President of Marketing (VPM), and DOM to structure an effective strategy, marketing plan and budget for partnerships. Work to leverage and drive leads from these partnerships to sell real estate and club memberships and also develop member benefits. Collaborate with Sales, Membership and Club teams on the front line through ongoing education and promotion of brand partnerships.

• Work with VP and DOM to manage and oversee execution of public relations strategy for The Cliffs. Work with PR agency and internal teams on relevant and newsworthy public relations angles. Collaborate and strategize with PR team on hosting media and plan out trip from pre to post arrival. Edit and manage press releases and use of content for marketing.

• Manage the effectiveness of The Cliffs discovery program to increase sales and immerse clients in the lifestyle. Work with DOM and Director of Sales to ensure discovery experience exemplifies the overall club experience as a member. Ensure all pre-arrival communications and tools are complete and adhered to, manage touch points pre, on and post arrival and work with teams to ensure the best experience possible.

• Work with Editor-in-Chief and act as Managing Editor of Cliffs Living Magazine to strategize content, member coordination, distribution through brand partnerships and grow distribution on a local and national level where appropriate.

• Oversee campaigns for events, partnerships and PR related to social media and also develop content for emails and website.

• Meet regularly with DOM to review projects, progress, and budget accountability.

• Contribute to the team effort in providing high quality, professional and friendly servant leadership to members, employees, management team, members, prospects, vendors and clients; cooperate with staff throughout the company and develop productive, strong relationships while maintaining confidentiality on relevant matters.

• Act as the Club Liaison for the Marketing Department and be the go-to person for any club staff in regards to the magazine, public relations, club event marketing, marketing of club amenities , and services to all members via email or collateral. This includes creating emails, writing copy, and supporting the club teams wherever possible. Work with teams on training for Marketing tools and brand usage.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Project Management experience at a manager level in a mid-size company
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Real Estate, Club, and Hospitality businesses preferred
  • Assertive and exceptionally organized with the ability to multi-task to keep projects on track.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to budgets, detail, and excellent follow-through.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced work environment with many demands.
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality as needed.
  • Strong technology use skills (Propertybase, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365, Google Workspace) and ability to quickly learn new software when necessary
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work events and light travel as needed.
