  • Facilitate business process improvement activities, including documenting as-is processes, gathering to-be requirements, and validating capture with staff
  • Assist in researching and preparing program and operational strategies and implementation plans
  • Analyze and evaluate proposed changes in operating procedures, draft standard operating procedures, and develop procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative controls and systems
  • Analyze data gathered, develop solutions, and recommend alternative methods of proceeding
  • Conduct assessments of standard operating procedures and prepare recommendations for improvement
  • Research and analyze new government policies and regulations that may impact operations and propose actions to ensure operational compliance
  • Assess business strategies and operating plans for consistency with institutional, governmental, and industry standards and best practices and draft reports for upper management
  • Prepare detailed reports based on research and findings, and present at meetings and briefings
  • Research and review institutional policies applicable to operations
  • Review business, operations, and program plans for consistency and compliance with institutional and governmental policies
  • Attend routine staff and business meetings for awareness and to take notes for distribution
  • Assist staff in preparing briefing and presentation materials for meetings
  • Draft reports for review and discussion at working groups and meetings
  • Document performance shortfalls and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist operational and program staff in identifying, capturing, and evaluating unique performance criteria

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Administration, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business management, business administration, or similar setting
  • Experience in Project Management and/or providing executive level support
  • Proficient in meeting coordination, taking meeting minutes, and preparing summary reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous NIH experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Administrative Professional, or Certified Administrative Assistant
  • Website content management experience helpful
