PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Working in a team-focused setting, serving as a design engineer for new products, engaging in the development design of new and derived products, showing initiative, creativity, problem-solving skills, and independent judgment to achieve department and section goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The ideal candidate should possess eight or more years of experience in product design, fluid flow, rotating equipment, or leading projects.
- Capable of interpreting blueprints and having a good understanding of GD&T.
- Creating and evolving designs for new or derived products as instructed.
- Formulating product concepts, specifications, and development plans.
- Generating budgetary estimates for assessing potential projects.
- Planning and managing projects effectively.
- Demonstrating the ability to multitask and lead other departments.
- Meeting program/project schedules, cost targets, and technical requirements.
- Producing and documenting product design and development records according to company procedures and guidelines.
- Preparing and delivering project and technical design reviews.
- Creating test plans for product development and design validation.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure new product design implementation.
- Coordinating new design implementation through all manufacturing processes.
- Generating catalogue specifications and technical publications.
- Assisting in the selection of vendor-supplied parts.
- Supporting Sales, Marketing, and Customers to ensure that the product solution aligns with Customer expectations.
- Investigating, preparing, and implementing engineering change notices.
- Assisting Designers and Design Drafters in completing section work assignments.
- Providing technical advice to company personnel, customers, and distributors.
- Making patent disclosures and aiding in patent applications.
- Participating in training programs.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to relevant procedures.
- Supporting other special assignments per the Engineering Manager's requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in product design, fluid flow, rotating equipment, or leading projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Personal traits should include technical proficiency, maturity, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong judgement, technical insight, and effectiveness in completing tasks are crucial.
- Excellent communication skills in various forms.
- Experience with instrumentation or electronics is advantageous.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D print skills.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Thermal Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move within office and manufacturing premises, utilize hand and keyboard writing, and perform general office duties.
- Effective communication through speech and hearing in person and via phone.
- Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
- Exposure to general manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- The capability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of corporate and company staff.
- Regular interaction with various departments within the company.
