Cedar Rapids Toyota is seeking a skilled Line Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in vehicle repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect pre-owned vehicles and work with the Sales Manager to bring them up to dealership specifications as needed.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional service needs and provide estimates for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification preferred.
- B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
- A positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
