GXC is seeking Armed Protective Security Officers for the State of Delaware FPS Contract.

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.

Essential Functions:
Protective Security Officers may be asked to perform a variety of duties at the facility where they are assigned including:

  • Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
  • Handle security issues and emergency situations according to GXC protocol.
  • Understand sitespecific operations including manuals and post orders.
  • Greet visitors and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
  • Answer questions and assist visitors and employees.
  • Remain flexible to everchanging environment; adapts well to different situations.
  • Patrol the facility on foot.
  • Answer phones, greet guests and employees
  • Monitor closedcircuit television systems and alarms.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements AND possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must meet at least ONE of the following italicized criteria:
  • _2 years of armed security experience_
- _2 years of military or National Guard service (active or reserve),_
- _Successful completion of state-certified law enforcement education and training, or_
- _Successful completion of police officers' standard training courses._

  • Active DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance preferred or be able to acquire and maintain a favorable adjudication
  • Unarmed (Yellow Card) Security Guard License
  • Armed (Red Card) Security Guard License
  • Must be able to attend at least two consecutive weeks of training.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required, verbal and written fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to work in a teamoriented environment with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively at client site.
  • Pay Rate:_ $27.27/hour +$4.69 Health & Welfare + $.79 Pension (Productive Hours)_
