WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


The Email and Retention Marketing Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of the continuity, organic social, and email marketing programs, including strategy, creation, and execution.

In addition, the Email and Retention Marketing Analyst will manage analytic efforts along with reporting needs.

This highly visible role will be accountable for campaign management and budgeting; testing and optimization; along with overall data and file management.


Lead email marketing strategy and execute all production processes with the goal to grow profitable sales, control discounts, increase the file, and grow AOS.

Collaborate with all relevant parties to ensure all email marketing elements are aligned with brand strategies.

Manage the email and organic social marketing calendar to ensure all plans are created, updated, and scheduled.


Manage the email service provider on day-to-day email marketing initiatives including regular communication and feedback on maintenance and hygiene of databases, on-going use of email application software, and ad hoc projects as assigned.


Serve as the liaison to site merchandising, product buyers, and brand designers to assist in product selection and creative design and ensure that all emails and social posts adhere to branding guidelines.


Conduct extensive testing and analysis of email marketing efforts including delivery time, creative layout, promotional offers, subject line testing, and segmentation performance to develop best practices for ongoing email campaigns.

Partner with vendor to monitor deliverability and overall account reputation to ensure messages are being delivered to the inbox.


Evaluate new email marketing approaches, competitive benchmarking, best practices, new technology, and vendor capabilities to identify opportunities to improve email relevance, customer engagement, and sales.

Manage file of marketable email addresses. Develop acquisition and segmentation strategies to optimize email marketing performance.

Conduct quality check tests to ensure links, images, subject lines, and lists function properly.

Stay current with email best practices, deliverability, and data hygiene.

Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including circulation data, budget projections and sales results.

Strategize, execute, and maintain a content creation plan for all retention channels.

Partner with other digital marketers to build campaigns supporting social media marketing and events.

Monitor campaign performance metrics and report on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis.


The Marketing Analyst architects the strategic vision for our continuity program, while driving optimizations in subscription management and promotional mix.

Own continuity channel analytics and reporting, generating insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Leverage customer behavior data to develop tactics that increase the lifetime value of our subscription-based customers.


Proactively collaborate with the continuity vendor to identify, integrate, and leverage the latest features and functionality to enhance program offerings.

The Marketing Analyst champions customer retention initiatives by developing and leading communication strategies in collaboration with the customer service team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Bachelor's or Associates degree in business, Marketing, or related field

2+ years of experience in email marketing or 3+ years of digital marketing experience

Excellent writing and communication skills

Ability to create email content with a compelling value proposition

Proficient in the mechanics of email creation

Experience working with Email Service Providers (ESPs)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office - all applications required

Familiar with social media platforms such as Meta and Instagram

Database experience is a plus

Strong analytical skills

Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Excellent team player with strong project management skills

Although this is a hybrid position, must be able to come in-office when required
