Position Overview:

The Mechanical Assembly Specialist role at Regal Rexnord Corp involves a diverse skill set necessary for the preparation of bulk container handling machinery, focusing on both mechanical and basic electrical assembly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety.
  • Interpret and execute blueprints for conveyor assembly.
  • Ensure assemblies are clean and meet quality standards.
  • Adhere to verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Employ hand tools proficiently for various assembly tasks, including structural, mechanical drive, fluid control, and guard assemblies. Quality workmanship and efficiency are essential.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections in accordance with Regal Rexnord Corp standards.
  • Document work accurately, including labor reports and timecards.
  • Obtain forklift certification or participate in training.
  • Prepare machinery for shipment, including disassembly, skidding, and crating.
  • Follow established crating protocols for shipping, including inspection and labeling.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to receive guidance on general objectives while determining methods and scheduling for tasks.
  • High school diploma or GED, with one to three months of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and effectively communicating with groups.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages, with a basic understanding of algebra and geometry.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle practical issues with limited standardization.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including email, databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves moderate physical activity, including:

  • Standing, walking, and sitting for varying percentages of time.
  • Frequent communication and listening.
  • Using hands for various tasks and reaching with arms.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Weight Handling:

Must be able to lift weights up to 25 pounds regularly.

Working Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and potential electrical hazards.
