Position Overview:

The Electrical Assembly Supervisor role at Regal Rexnord involves a diverse skill set to prepare conveyor systems and equipment, focusing on both electrical and, when necessary, mechanical aspects. This position serves as the key leader and trainer in the department, acting as a bridge between Electrical Assembly and Electrical Design/Engineering. The Electrical Assembly Supervisor will guide teams to achieve critical objectives such as collaboration, safety, quality, employee performance, documentation, customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review job packets for precision, alerting relevant personnel of any discrepancies.
  • Analyze blueprints to determine logical assembly sequences, occasionally for multiple projects.
  • Lead a team of individuals engaged in specific assembly tasks.
  • Provide performance feedback on team members to the manufacturing manager and conduct performance evaluations as necessary.
  • Assist in the assembly of designated projects.
  • Conduct spot inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure products are assembled correctly and adhere to established timelines.
  • Prepare accurate updates for the production schedule and communicate any issues during production meetings.
  • Manage logistics for teardown and shipping.
  • Ensure QIK forms are completed accurately and contain all necessary information.
  • Return surplus parts for restocking upon job completion and shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace for assemblers.
  • Ensure accurate completion of labor reports, material issues, kit lists, scrap reports, and material movements.
  • Represent the Assembly department during Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
  • Collaborate with Assembly Trainers to ensure new hires and cross-training are effectively conducted on the shop floor.
  • Oversee the accuracy of daily timesheets and time-off requests.
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day reviews and hold one-on-one meetings with employees.
  • Assist with safety inspections as required.
  • Verify the proper documentation of the Blue Book (Quality Document) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between Electrical Assembly and Electrical Engineering.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in supervising, managing, and directing the selection, training, development, and evaluation of personnel.
  • Ability to operate with general guidance regarding objectives, determining methods, work sequences, and scheduling to meet assignment goals within policy guidelines.
  • Understanding of simple to moderately complex electrical systems and knowledge of PLCs.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding basic fraction to decimal conversions, as well as familiarity with numbers and dimensions.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form, and to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including email, database management, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience and education, such as a two-year degree in electronics with assembly, panel building, RTUs, PLCs, or VFDs.
  • Expertise in panel building is essential.
  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and point-to-point drawings is crucial.
  • Dedication, hard work, focus, and a keen attention to detail are necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively guide and train others.
  • A passion for teamwork, learning, variety, and hands-on work.
  • Proficient skills in machine debugging, program debugging, PLC programming, troubleshooting electrical circuits, and equipment setup.

This position demands exceptional accuracy in documentation skills, including labor reporting, material issues/returns, material movements, and scrap reporting.
