The SkyGrid team is looking for a Aviation Project Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the aspects of one or more project(s), within our next generation complex airspace integration system for autonomous and uncrewed aircraft. You will demonstrate a broad skillset that is balanced between interpersonal and business capabilities. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable engaging with project stakeholders, functional teams, and both internal and external customers to achieve project goals. You will have the ability to anticipate problems across a span of issues and work areas, and to overcome them independently or working within a close-knit team, with the confidence to communicate and express ideas, twinned with the humility to listen to other people's ideas. This role will offer you the opportunity to develop your Project Management experience within a dynamic program - you will be given meaningful responsibility early on and be given the freedom to work autonomously, with limited supervision.
Performance Objectives:
- Completion of near-term projects on schedule and budget
- Own andtrack assignedproject managementdeliverables
- Ensure project risks are identified and elevated for resolution in a timely manner
- Create project plan(s) and manage resources to ensure project schedule, budget, quality, and specification goals are attained
- Maintain and review status of project activities to ensure cost, schedule, and technical commitments are being met
- Lead status review sessions with internal management and customer to discuss status of project cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Assess project/technical issues and develop corrective actions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to employees working on assigned project. Effectively communicate project expectations and objectives to team members and stakeholders in a timely fashion
- Act as the primary contact for assigned project activities for both internal and external stakeholders/customers
- Local and remote candidates will be considered. SkyGrid will issue all Full-time employees a laptop. Remote employees are responsible for acquiring any additional equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM or project management related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in aviation
- Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets
- Prior experience working with cross-functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Teams and Project, with emphasis on Excel
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
