We are looking to fill a full time Electrical Engineer position with a manufacturer located in the area of Syracuse, NY.


SALARY RANGE: $90K to $110k per year.



Electrical Engineer

Manufacturing company in Syracuse, NY is looking for an Electrical Engineer.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years Industrial Electrical/Mechanical experience. He/she must be able to work within a team environment or solo and must have the ability to use precision measuring devices such as Voltmeters, and other measuring instruments and must be proficient with NFPA 70.

Qualified candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills, be well organized and highly dependable with attention to detail.

Job Functions:|
Electrical engineer must have a strong understanding of electrical manufacturing processes.
He/she must be able to read, write and analyze electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Electrical engineer must have a broad knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specification codes and handbook formulas along with a working knowledge of PLC's, VFD's, Motor Control, and Power distribution.
Electrical engineer must have the capacity to analyze a problem from multiple prospective and explore creative solutions.
He/she must be able to devise testing methods and properties to confirm the functionality of electrical components and systems.
He/she must determine proper type, size of materials and equipment for the job, including power requirements.
Perform electrical work requiring high degree of trade skill to install, test, inspect, adjust, repair and wire all plant equipment and circuits to required voltages and tolerances.
He/she must be able to locate, diagnose and remedy troubles quickly to avoid shutdowns.
Electrical engineer must be able to adjust all plant equipment to proper operating characteristics.
He/she must be able to fabricate material to be used for electrical equipment.
He/she must be proficient w/ Microsoft Excel, ability to learn company specific computer based programs

Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field

Work Experience:
5-10 years Industrial Electrical and Mechanical experience.
3-5 years Managerial experience
