As an Open Source Collection Specialist (OSCS), you will oversee the organized collection of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) from various sources such as traditional media, the internet, specialized publications, and more, to address intelligence gaps.

OSCSs are involved in developing strategies, plans, and tools for effective information gathering, which may include managing resources, contracts, and implementing collection methodologies.



In this role, you will:
  • Coordinate information gathering on strategic topics or regions
  • Research and obtain publicly available information to fulfill intelligence needs
  • Identify relevant sources for information collection
  • Manage resources associated with data collection
  • Develop and implement collection tools and methodologies
  • Develop metadata schema for improved information accessibility

Requirements:
  • Must be physically present in the United States or its territories when submitting the resume
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old
  • Must undergo necessary medical, psychological, and background checks
  • Strong critical thinking and research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience in data/information management, language programs, or project management
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with a minimum GPA of 3.0

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with foreign languages
  • Experience in managing complex projects
  • Educational background in related fields like Foreign Language/Linguistics, Geography/GIS, Political Studies, etc.
