Job Description and Duties
If you have permanent status and have passed probation, you have mandatory reinstatement rights into your former position/classification at the end of this LT appointment. You will be separated from state service if you have not had prior permanent or probationary civil service status. During this 12-month limited-term assignment, you may be entitled to receive health, dental, and vision benefits. You will also earn State Service and accrue monthly leave credits.
If you enjoy public speaking and are skilled at simplifying complex concepts, this role might be for you. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who values teamwork to help educate government and business entities on compliance with regulations related to reducing emissions from diesel and other mobile sources. The position involves designing and implementing outreach campaigns to explain regulations and promote compliance with emissions reduction goals. This includes creating training materials, social media content, and engaging with a variety of audiences. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to disseminate technical information and assist with compliance evaluation and planning.
Working Conditions
- Position located in a high-rise building
- Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
- Standard office environment (e.g., artificial lighting, controlled temperature)
- Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
- Additional working condition(s): Travel up to 25% of the time may be necessary
