This opportunity is based in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, integrate, configure, deploy, test, and maintain various network devices and technologies related to data, voice, and video.
  • Manage configuration changes for voice and data equipment.
  • Utilize knowledge of telecommunications, internetworking, and data systems networking.
  • Offer Tier-2 and Tier-3 technical support for data, voice, and video networks.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues using network analyzers and simulators.
  • Assist in developing operational procedures and configurations.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate new equipment.
  • Maintain supporting infrastructure including storage, compute, and virtualized environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Active TS SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with nine years of relevant IT experience OR fifteen years of relevant IT experience without a degree.
  • Compensation based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in System Administration, Network Engineering, or Computer Programming.
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems.
  • Experience with network switch and firewall configuration/maintenance.
  • Ability to draft technical requirements.
  • Security+ Certified or willing to obtain certification within six months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in troubleshooting across multiple devices and networks.
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) or Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Experience in load testing/network simulation.
  • CCNA Collaboration (Voice) Certified.
  • Understanding of LTE, UMTS, GSM technology, wireless voice.
