Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of engineering deliverables and ensure their technical compliance as required by the program.

- Develop, implement, and validate IT system solutions for networking, computing, and proprietary communication equipment, encompassing conceptual, functional, and physical perspectives.

- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, while delegating tasks to fellow system engineers on the project team.

- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams (e.g., program management, hardware & software development, testing, field engineering, production) to ensure overall project success.

- Employ innovative technologies or methodologies to enhance project outcomes, efficiency, or sustainability.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project challenges and devise strategies for successful project execution.
- Manage systems and integration engineering for software and hardware systems, subsystems, modules, and application tools.
- Review and approve technical documentation (e.g., design drawings, design reviews, system layouts, system configurations, build plans/instructions, rollout strategies).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Communicate expectations clearly and resolve project-related issues.

Technical Expertise Required:
- Proficient in RHEL operating system; knowledgeable in Windows operating system.
- Skilled in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python).
- Experience with log aggregation and reporting tools (ELK/Opensearch, Splunk).
- Familiarity with network analysis tools (Wireshark).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker).
- Proficient in system monitoring tools (Zabbix, SNMP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (ESXi, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization).
- Knowledge of data replication and storage solutions (DBRD, NAS/SAN).
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Understanding of system security management and intrusion detection tools (IdM, SSL, IPSec/VPN, SELinux, AIDE).
- Experience with telecommunications protocols (SIP/RTP, ED-137).
- Knowledge of routing and networking technologies.

Qualifications:
- BS or MS in Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, or equivalent experience in IT systems and engineering.

- Proven experience in Systems Engineering, integrating, deploying, and supporting hardware and software solutions in networking and communications.

- Experience in leading and mentoring systems engineering project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and apply best-practice systems engineering concepts and effective risk management to solutions.
- Capable of learning, selecting, and integrating new technologies into system solutions.

Additional Conditions:
- Willingness to travel up to 20% based on project needs.
- Required to visit customer sites for system installations, testing, and on-site troubleshooting as necessary.
- International travel may be required for equipment or technology training at company headquarters when applicable.
- Background checks and fingerprinting will be necessary.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and obtain clearances for government site access.
