Community Outreach Coordinator

ERG is a leading U.S. based, privately held, independent clinical research site company, and provider of clinical development services with expertise in early and late-stage neuroscience drug development. With 20 wholly owned clinical sites and 4 affiliated sites, we conduct in-patient and out-patient phase I-IV clinical research studies. ERG has 400+ in-patient beds, a large and growing database of patients suffering from mental illness, neurological disorders, sleep disorders, addictions, Acute and Chronic Pain, diabetes, and other illnesses as well as normal healthy volunteers who participate in trials for the advancement of medicine. With access to over 32 million patients/subjects and completed trials, ERG continues to grow its capabilities and expand into indications where there are tremendous unmet medical needs in the United States and globally.

Job Description:

The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing outreach and engagement strategies to grow Site's recruitment efforts. It is expected that they will identify and cultivate new opportunities for partnerships and liaise with existing program partners. This position will require extensive time outside of the office. The Community Outreach Coordinator will also contribute to all aspects of communications and reporting on site recruitment efforts. A solutions-oriented attitude is essential to the success of this position.

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement
  • Assist the Site in the facilitation of the recruitment process including identifying referral sources, clinical trial participants, and community partnerships.
  • Become proficient in the functionality of CTMS as it relates to Site's patient database and gain a full understanding of how new/existing patient information should be captured and updated.
  • Assist Site in developing and updating timelines for recruitment development projects.
  • Track the progress of these projects to provide metrics and measurement against established benchmarks.
  • Maintain database / tracking tools which follow business development operations as well as other elements pertinent to business development Essential Functions and percent of time (cont'd):
  • Assist and maintain data tracking entries into designated tracking systems and tools in accordance with project requirements.
  • Assist Managers with periodic report generation and review.
Outreach development
  • Develop and further relationships with community organizations including those supporting patients and minorities to raise awareness of clinical trials.
  • Organize and attend events with community groups and site to facilitate communication.
  • Additionally, this role may encompass responsibilities beyond those outlined above, as required by the evolving needs of the organization. This job description is intended as a foundation and may be subject to expansion or modification to best suit ERG's objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education and experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred; 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, communications, or outreach activities.
    • Proven organizational ability and strong attention to detail.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc.) project management software and website development
  • Requirements
    • Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent project management skills including the ability to work on many projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
    • Excellent time-management skills communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral)
    • Prior experience in Memory loss, Alzheimer's and Dementia clinical research; patient recruitment experience preferred.
    • Excellent persuasive/marketing skills, well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently.
    • Must be professional, possess a high degree of urgency and self-motivation, and have a strong work ethic.
