Cancer Specialists of North Florida is seeking a skilled Patient Financial Counselor to join our vibrant team at the North Florida Office. This role involves handling insurance verification, assessing patient financial needs, and guiding them on insurance benefits. Occasional travel to different locations is part of the job. The main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring accurate entry of insurance and demographic information into the system.
  • Verifying insurance details with all third-party payers.
  • Re-checking benefits and securing authorization before treatment.
  • Providing financial counseling and forwarding to the Billing Office.
  • Assisting patients in obtaining financial aid and completing necessary forms.
  • Collecting necessary payments during visits.
  • Helping with documentation maintenance and upholding patient confidentiality.
  • Other duties as required.

This is a Full-Time Position.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is a must.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in medical business offices with a focus on financial counseling.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
