Key Responsibilities

  • Explain financial responsibilities for services received, payment options, and point of service collections on procedures to patients or parties responsible for payment.
  • Work with clinical staff, case management, and Medicaid offices to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service by continuing to go above and beyond to create a great experience for patients.
  • Develop trust and rapport with patients, communicate with compassion and authenticity relating to sensitive topics, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Multi-task, navigate between multiple systems simultaneously, and meet productivity goals while driving high-quality work output.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a financial counselor in a hospital or relevant healthcare setting is a plus but not required for the role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clinical staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet productivity goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
