Shift Manager
Your role and responsibilities
- Foster a culture where safety is first priority and procedures and policies are followed
- Be a representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the Baldor goals and objectives
- Provide leadership, direction, training and administration of anyone assigned to their department
- Be responsible for the quality, production, safety, housekeeping and problem solving on a daily basis for your assigned areas.
- Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Standards
- Must work with all other departments, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals
- Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline direct reports
- Enforce general handbook policies fairly and consistently
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum 0-2 years experience OR Associates Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 4 years experience.
- Candidate must be able to supervise employees while achieving all daily production goals
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Effective time management and the ability to prioritize
- Understand manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex Flow and Lean concepts - preferred
- SAP, Kronos - preferred
- Must be willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
