Under the direction of the Chief, a Tax Administrator II, in the Management Analysis and Projects Section (MAPS), the Tax Administrator (TA) I plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Legislative Analysis Group (LAG).

The LAG is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the ?LAG?.

The LAG provides guidance for legislative and programmatic analysis and recommendations prepared by staff as a result of pending legislation.

The LAG also oversees the coordination of the legislative proposals for Tax Branch, reviews legislative proposals from other branches, and prepares implementation plans for bills enacted during the current session.


In addition, the LAG provides guidance for staff to provide support for the Tax Branch facility needs, procurement documents and services requests for Tax Branch equipment, premises, data communication and telecommunication needs.


Lastly, the LAG provides guidance over the analysis and recommendations that are prepared by staff in relation to Merit Award Board suggestions.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Background Investigation Requirement

The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation.
