This experienced service representative engages patients, families, and providers throughout the patient care journey. Responsible for patient scheduling, record retrieval, and communication to ensure patients see the right provider at the right time with the necessary records.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appointments accurately and coordinate same-day appointments.
  • Manage the UVA Employee Health email account effectively and respond promptly.
  • Educate patients on managed care processes, authorizations, and financial obligations.
  • Advocate for patients and families during multi-visit scheduling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in accessing medical services at UVA Health System.
  • Show willingness to learn new knowledge, technologies, and go above and beyond.
  • Ensure quality patient registrations with accurate information.
  • Investigate and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.

Experience: 2 years relevant experience; Access Associates fully cross-trained are also considered.

Licensure: None required.

Physical Demands:

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive motion, proficient communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to write clearly and concisely.
