About the Position:
As a key role reporting to the Plant Manager, this position focuses on leading the operations team to ensure optimal utilization of manpower and materials, maintaining equipment schedules to produce quality products safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively according to the approved business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement key safety initiatives to foster a culture of zero accidents.
- Enhance operator skill sets and flexibility while reducing labor costs.
- Champion lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts.
- Monitor production metrics including safety, quantity, customer service, waste, and more.
- Provide training for Supervisors to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Analyze KPIs and take remedial actions as needed.
- Maintain effective leadership for motivation and accountability.
- Collaborate with other departments for productivity and quality improvements.
- Support problem-solving activities and decision-making at the operational level.
- Manage financial plans related to the operational team.
- Lead the shop floor operations visibly and vocally.
- Demonstrated experience in managing high-performance manufacturing environments.
- Ability to handle multiple complex tasks and pressure effectively.
- Skilled in motivating teams, communication, and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficient in planning, leadership, and administration.
- Understanding of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
- 5-7 years of manufacturing management experience.
- Background in project management.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Office-based role with standard equipment.
- Requires sitting, bending, keyboard use, and fluent communication.
- Adaptable to high-pressure environments with efficient problem-solving skills.
- Minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
